The Trophy Bassmasters spent a hot competition day on Indian Lake this past weekend and Bert Grubbs Jr. remains just as hot as the weather. Grubbs Jr. took the top spot as well as big bass at the event which propelled him to the lead for the Angler of the Year. Grubbs Jr. caught a 5 fish limit that weighed in at 10.07lbs and included the 2.44lb big bass of the day. He has compiled one 4th, two 1st place finishes, and two 3rds in the last 5 events to take a 10 point lead for the point race. Placing second was Don Ratcliff as he weighed 7.10lbs with only 4 bass. Mark Dairy had a 5 fish limit and 6.89lbs for the 3rd spot.
