The Trophy Bassmasters competed in their 2nd club
tournament of the season at 1 of their favorite sites.
West Harbor at Lake Erie in the spring can be a lot of
fun and the club was not disappointed. Fifteen of the
sixteen competitors had at least 2 keeper bass and 10 of
the anglers had 5 fish limits. A total of 160.68lbs were
recorded in the 67 fish weighed in. Top angler for the
day was Don Ratcliff. His full creel weighed in at
15.49lbs. Continuing his early season success was Steve
Barker with 13.57lbs in 5 fish for 2nd place. Barker won
the 2012 opener at Indian Lake. Guy Gerber brought in 5
bass and 13.16lbs for 3rd. The day’s big bass went to
Steve Ganger as he netted a 4.68lb lunker. Barker has
taken an early lead in the 2012 Angler of the Year point
race with his 2 top finishes. He has 67 points while Don
Ratcliff has 58
