Knox Lake
2011
Event: Knox Lake NOTES:
Date: June 12, 2011
Time: 6:00 - 3:00
Ramp: Lower Marina Big Bass: Andy Cripple 4.94Lbs

The Trophy Bassmasters spent a day on one of their favorite inland lakes. Knox Lake is a tremendous fishery with a great quantity of largemouth bass in the 14” to 17” range due to a special 18” length limit that was imposed several years ago. The Trophy club is able to hold a competition on the lake by using a length to weight conversion table whereby a fish can be caught, measured, and immediately released which falls within the guidelines of the 18” possession law. It was a banner day for the club as all but 1 angler had fish to record and 9 of the 11 competitors had a 5 fish limit. Andy Cripple repeated his Belleville performance for back to back wins. Cripple had 16.38lbs in his 5 bass which included the big bass of the day at 4.46lbs. Cripple takes over the big bass of the year with his catch. Second place went to Don Ratcliff with 15.38lbs in 5 fish. Bob Flowers also had 5 fish and finished 3rd with 13.19lbs. The club brought in an impressive 111.97lbs in 43 fish for the day. All were released alive.
