The Trophy Bassmasters bass club kicked off the 2023 tournament season at Indian Lake this past Sunday with some impressive bass. Nineteen club members competed from 7am to 3pm searching for the 5 biggest bass to bring to weigh in. The veteran Don Kraft brought in the largest bag of largemouth with 12.66lbs in his 5 fish limit. Kraft’s creel included the big bass of the day at 5.18lbs. Nathan Plaugher also brought in 5 keepers of at least 12”. Plaugher had 11.47lbs for 2nd place. Logan Barker had the only other 5 bass limit. Barker tipped the scales at 11.38 for the 3rd place spot. Plaugher and Barker both had lunkers over 4lbs. Totals for the club were36 bass and 75.53lbs. All fish were released alive back into the lake.
