The
Trophy Bassmasters spent last Sunday on Lake Erie with
great results. They followed up that performance with a
trip to Alum Creek yesterday north of Columbus. Alum has
not produced great results for the club over the years
but yesterday was the exception. A total of 65 keeper
bass of at least 12” were brought in by the 18 anglers
with a combined weight of 105.61lbs. The top weight was
brought in by Glen Cronley who landed 5 largemouth bass.
Cronley had a solid weight of 10.77lbs for the win. Bert
Grubbs also caught 5 largemouth. Grubbs had a weight of
9.54lbs for 2nd place. Just 3oz behind in 3rd
place was Virgil Grant with 9.37lbs in 5 largemouth.
There were several nice smallmouth bass caught during
the day but the largest by far was landed by Dave
Morlock. A 4.90lb brownie earned Morlock the big bass
of the day.
