The Trophy Bassmasters experienced a tremendous
day of competition on one of the top bass fisheries in
the country recently as they traveled to Lake St Clair
on the Michigan/Canadian border. Sixteen anglers made
the trip north and all but 1 had 5 fish limits. St Clair
is known for the bountiful smallmouth bass population
and they dominated the creels. The club weighed in 76

place went to Andy Cripple as his 5 bass weighed
14.60lbs. John Clark once again had a top finish as he
placed 2nd with 13.70lbs and 5 fish. Clark’s
catch also included the 4.51lb big bass of the day. Vern
Boecher brought in 5 bass and finished 3rd
with 13.30lbs.
