The Trophy Bassmasters of Kenton competed in their 15th club tournament of the 2021 fishing season Sunday at the Detroit River in Trenton Michigan. Thirteen anglers made the trip north for the 8 hour competition day. All 13 had at least 2 keepers of 14” or more. The club totals were 50 bass and 128.13lbs. Boyd Downey put together a 5 bass limit weighing 14.81lbs to claim the top spot. Steve Ganger also had a 5 fish limit. Ganger’s catch weighed 12.80lbs and earned him the runner up position. Third place was Virgil Grant. Grant had 12.50lbs in his 5 fish limit. The big bass of the day was netted by Mike Atchison. Atchison caught a 4.03lb largemouth on a topwater frog for the prize.
