The Trophy Bassmasters continued with their 2006 fishing season as they
traveled to West Harbor and adjoining Lake Erie. It was another successful
outing as 14 of the 18 anglers weighed in at least 1 fish of 14" or more. A
total of 40 bass weighing 93.42lbs were scored and released. Mark Dairy had
a 5 fish limit containing both largemouth and smallmouth bass. His total
weight of 11.74lbs earned him 1st place. Lance Blevins had just 3
keepers but they were all nice size smallmouth and weighed 11.01lbs for 2nd
place. Third place went to Judd Rarey as he caught 10.29 in 4 fish. Vern
Boecher caught the day’s Big Bass for the 2nd tournament in a
row. His 4.94lb smallmouth also serves as the new big bass for the year. The
Mr. Bass point standings reversed leaders once again as Bob Flowers moved
back ahead of Boyd Downey who failed to weigh-in a keeper and scored only 2
participation points. |
