In years past, Alum Creek has been one of the tougher stops on the Trophy Bassmaster schedule. The club usually fishes there in July. Boat traffic is very congested. The weather is hot and the fish are uncooperative. This year did not follow true to form as the club experienced more success than in the past. Seventeen members spent 8 hours each on the big impoundment. A total of 25 keeper bass of at least 12” were weighed and released with a total weight of 40.45lbs. Larry Pennington dominated the day with both first place performance. His creel consisted of 4 largemouth that weighed 7.96lbs. His weight easily outdistanced second place finisher Boyd Downey. He netted 4 fish for a 5.10lb total. Third place went to Steve Barker. He had 4.73lbs in his 3 keepers. Judd Rarey continued his good season with the day’s Big Bass. He caught a 3.39lb largemouth fro the honor. This being the 7th of 12 club tournaments the Mr. Bass point race is still a 2 man show as Judd Rarey and Nick McCullough are setting the pace
