Although temperatures have moderated the Trophy Bassmasters have still been plagued by high muddy waters when they test their metal on the 2004 tournament circuit. Such was the case once again at Alum Creek. Much of the club’s favorite area of the upper lake was unfishable due to the high, muddy conditions. The 9 competitors could only manage 11 keepers for the day that totaled 18.45lbs. First place went to Paul Pemberton. He netted 3 keeper bass that weighed 4.13lbs. His catch also included a share of the day’s big bass as 1 of his fish weighed in at 2.02lbs. Don Kraft won the 2nd place award with 3 fish weighing 3.74lbs. Larry Pennington rounded out the top finishers with 2 bass and 3.32lbs including the other share of the big bass prize as he also netted a 2.02lb fish.
