REPORT:

St Marys has not been one of the more productive stops for the Trophy Bassmasters the past 3 or 4 years. Catch rates have been down to the point of being non-existent. So it was with some reluctance that the members made the journey west to try the big lake again. The 11 anglers were pleasantly surprised as all but 1 brought at least 1 12” keeper and 1 angler even had a 5 fish limit. Jim Miller increased his lead in the Mr. Bass point standings as he won with 4 bass weighing 7.01lbs. Bob Flowers had 3 nice fish that weighed 6.93lbs narrowly finishing 2nd. Taking 3rd was Mike Baumlein netting a 5 five fish limit at 6.79lbs. Twenty-two keepers were scored by the club for a 41.11lb total. All were released alive. As mentioned earlier, Jim Miller strengthened his grip on the 2003 Mr Bass point list.
