| REPORT:The bass fishing season is finally heating up as the first warm weekend of the summer took the Trophy Bassmasters to Deer Creek southwest of Columbus. Even though the weather was pleasant, the largemouth bass were less than cooperative as only 16 keeper size fish were brought to weigh-in by the 10 competitors. | Bagging the only 5 fish limit was Boyd Downey. His total bag weighed 7.53lbs and included the day’s big bass at 2.53lbs. Second place went to Dave Wedertz as his 2 bass weighed 3.92lbs while Steve Ganger had 3.35lbs in his 2 largemouth for the 3rd place finish. Total weight for the club was 24.47lbs with all fish released alive. | |
