Shawn
Jordan returned in grand style this past weekend during the Trophy
Bassmasters 11th club tournament of the season at Lake Loramie in
west central Ohio near Minster. Jordan had not fished a single club
tournament this year as he had been trying his luck on the Bass Fishing
League circuit which is a junior division of the popular national FLW
tournament circuit. With that circuit’s tournaments over for the year,
Jordan decided to attend the Loramie event and compete with the local boys.
He showed his prowess by completely dominating the day’s competition
tallying nearly 1/3 of the club’s total weight. He had the only 5 fish limit
for the day that weighed 10.07lbs and included the day’s Big Bass at
2.55lbs. Second place went to Jim Miller. He netted 4 keepers at 4.37lbs.
Dave Wedertz captured 3rd with 2.72lbs and 2 keepers. Eleven
anglers brought a total of 22 keepers of at least 12” or more to the scales
with a total weight of 30.72lbs. All were released alive. As it turned out,
the smallest fish in Jordan’s creel was larger than any of the other 17
keepers brought in by the rest of the field. With only 1 tournament left,
the Mr. Bass point race has been narrowed down to the top 3 members. They
are the only members that can accumulate enough points to win. |
